Mary A. Vogel

Mary A. Vogel, 91, of Sylvania and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at Oakleaf Village of Toledo.

She was born October 27, 1934, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, to Fred and Veora (Allen) Hunt. On December 24, 1952, in Mt. Vernon, she married Richard J. Vogel, and he preceded her in death May 07, 1989.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy M. (Dale) Gottfried of Sylvania and Janice K. Hadley of Glendale, Arizona; sister, Pam Rash of Port Charlotte, Florida; four grandchildren, Amanda (Garrett) Spy of Sylvania, Amber (fiancé Rick Ilsley) Shepherd of Toledo, Jayla (Adam) Hadley of Washington State and Joshua Hadley of Phoenix, Arizona; and five great-grandchildren, Jett Hadley, Corrinne Spy, Karrissa Spy, Grace Dreps and Jacklyn Dreps.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kevin Hunt.

Mary graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. She was a secretary for many years for Tiffin City Schools. In 2009, she moved from Tiffin to Toledo to be closer to her family. Mary enjoyed traveling and spending her winters in Arizona.

Services for Mary were private and burial was at Seneca Memory Gardens.
