Patricia R. Murphy

Patricia R. Murphy, 93, of Burgoon, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Valley View Health Campus in Fremont.

Patricia was born October 25, 1931, in Tiffin, to the late Upton Dale and Dorothy (Mitten) Cole. She married Ned R. Murphy in Angola, Indiana, November 10, 1951, and he preceded her in death February 21, 2010.

Survivors include her children, Colleen Carr of Risingsun, Lura (Ron) Greener of Oak Harbor, and Jodie Schmidt of Fremont; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Keckler of Tiffin.

Patricia was a homemaker and a graduate of Calvert High School.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Julie Murphy; son-in-law, James Carr; and a sister, Jean Stover.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Bettsville. There will be no funeral services at this time. Burial will be at a later date at Pleasant Union Cemetery in Old Fort.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
