Richard Paul "Richie" Bumb

Richard Paul "Richie" Bumb, 68, of Alvada, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Tiffin, to Harold and Isabell (Elchert) Bumb. He married Christina "Chris" Derr on Nov. 16, 1974, at Our Lady of Consolation, Carey.

Richie's survivors include his wife, Christina Bumb of Alvada; children, Anthony (Shelly) Bumb of Alvada, Amy (Aaron) Wood of Tiffin, Anna (Jason) Curry of Bloomville, and Adam Bumb of Tiffin; brothers, Gerald (Shirley) Bumb of Sycamore and Delbert (Karen) Bumb of New Riegel; sisters, LaDonna Hucke of Carey, Berneda Brady of Sycamore, and Percilla Nye of New Riegel; and 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Audrey, Elizabeth, Levi, Evan, and Eleanor Bumb, Grace and Keegan Wood, and Joseph and John Curry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Bumb; and sister, Marlene Seifert.

Richie graduated in 1974 from New Riegel High School and was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel. He worked at American Standard for 19 years and retired from Cooper Tire in Findlay. He was a lifetime farmer, enjoyed going to the Amish Country, and spending time with friends and family.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at All Saints Parish with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
