Stephen Cray Obituary
Stephen J. Cray, 52, of New Albany, died Thursday, July 27, 2023, at home.
He was born April 21, 1971, in Columbus, to James and Carolyn (Simpson) Cray. James is deceased and his mother lives in Sycamore. He married Niki (Fazenbaker) Cray and they later divorced.
Stephen is also survived by two children, Madison Cray of Columbus and Mitchell Cray of Columbus; sister, Cindy (Randy) Harper of rural Sycamore; and half-sister, Brittany (Matt) Nicely of Perrysburg.
Stephen was a CPA and did accounting in the Columbus area for a lot of businesses. He was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ, McCutchenville.
Stephen was a 1989 graduate of Mohawk High School and 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University.
For hobbies, he loved to golf, play fantasy football, and work out at Planet Fitness. He also at one time coached Little League baseball and junior basketball when his kids were younger. He was an avid Ohio State fan and also loved hanging out with family and friends.
Stephen's memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Elyse Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at McCutchenville Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
