Steve E. Mathes, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening, March 27, 2026, at Embassy of Willard.
He was born November 13, 1944, in Parcoal, West Virginia, to Roy Junior and Este M. Mathes. On August 19, 1967, he married Susan Hushour.
Steve is survived by his son, Michael (Kimberlie) Mathes of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Friends may visit with family from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society.
Condolences may be sent and guestbook signed at www.hgmackfuneralhome.com.
