A Calvert H S friend plus an ongoing friendship via Telephone the last 20 years or so. His wife Clara was always at his side and will miss him dearly. His life seemed to be very full and rewarding. Both of us TALKED a good golf game, weather we played well or not. I will miss those discussions. Rest in peace Bill.

Sending My Deepest Condolences
As Bill´s hospice nurse, I had the great privilege of getting to know a truly remarkable man. I will always treasure the stories he shared about his beloved school, his time in the military, and how he met his beautiful wife. He loved talking about his childhood, his family, being an avid golf player, and all the incredible work he had done throughout his life.
From building an airplane with his wife Clara, who "bucked all the rivets" to perfecting his BBQ that won several SC state championship, Bill´s creativity and attention to detail always amazed me. He was so proud of the spark plugs he crafted and carried in his pocket, each one a symbol of his skill and ingenuity. His stained glass artwork and lamps were breathtaking he explained every step of the copper foil technique with such passion and precision.
One of my memories will always be the off-road SUV he built entirely from Legos. He studied several books to complete it, building the motor, hood, and doors with such care and finished it in record time!
Bill was not only talented but deeply kind, inspiring, and full of life. It´s rare in my line of work to meet someone who touches your heart so profoundly but Bill and his family did just that. He will be deeply missed, and I feel so blessed to have known him. His memory will forever hold a special place in my heart.
With love and sympathy,
