Christine A. Zaenger

Christine A. Zaenger, 78, of rural Tiffin, died at 5:29 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay. She was born Jan. 30, 1946, to the late Melvin and Beatrice (Smolinski) Konieczka. She married Herbert J. Zaenger on Sept. 24, 1964, and he survives in rural Tiffin.

Surviving are her children, Jeffrey (Tina) Zaenger of Florida, Julie (Rod) Vogel of Tiffin and Joel (Lorraine) Zaenger of rural McCutchenville; six grandchildren, Brandee, Makenzie, Lee (Hannah), Katie (Shiloh), Sadie and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Cleo and Lane; and a brother, Dale (Karen) Konieczka of Wisconsin.

Christine was a registered X-ray technician who worked in Toledo for over 20 years. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, graduated from McAuley High School, Toledo, and attended the University of Toledo to get her degree as an X-ray technician.

Christine loved to have a garden and raise flowers. She looked forward to taking small trips, mainly in the fall, to see the changing of the leaves. Christine also loved nursing animals back to health for the Seneca County Humane Society. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Christine will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio, with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
